Hello Pipe. Welcome to Desnudo Magazine! How old are you, where are you from?
Thank you so much for this interview, I am 25 years old and I am from a city named Barrancabermeja, in Colombia.
What is your heritage/ethnic background?
I am Latin, but my grandmother has heritage from Arab culture, so I guess I have some arabic features too, haha.
How did you get into modeling?
It was destiny. When I first moved to Medellin to study my career in International Business, I went to an open call at a small agency there. It was in 2014. In 2015 I got signed by the biggest agency in Colombia, and two years later I got signed by my current mother Agency, New Icon Models. Before New Icon, modeling was sort of a hobby, not my main income, but it became a very big part in my life and now my career.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
Getting to know and experience fashion itself. I want to combine fashion and business in the near future. Also, I love to get to know new people from different countries and cultures, and get to know new places.
What are you looking forward to in the coming months?
I’m always trying to upgrade myself. So, in the coming months I’m looking forward to book big clients and become the top worldwide model that I’ve been working to be.
What do you listen to when you want to calm down?
Four Seasons of Vivaldi. My mom used to play this song when I was in her womb, and before knowing this I already used to listen to this song.
What do you listen to, to hype you up?
Something with a lot of timbal, like Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto or Tito Puentes.
Can you play a musical instrument?
Sadly I can’t. I wish I could play the Violin or the Piano.
What do you think of Country music?
It’s fun!! I actually performed it once, and it was really really fun.
Do you listen to music in foreign languages?
English is foreign for me, so yes. But besides english, I also listen to music on danish.
What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?
Sci-Fi and Action.
What are your thoughts on nudity
I love nudity, I feel comfortable being naked. It’s our first clothing, we shouldn’t be ashamed of it.
Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
Pipe is my nickname, my real name is Juan Felipe. In Colombia, Pipe is the nickname for Felipe.
In the evening, would you rather play a game, visit a relative, watch a movie, or read?
I’d love to visit a relative. Right now they’re in Colombia and I’m living in Mexico City. I miss them so much.
